GwoVi

GwoVi is operated by GwoVi LLC, a limited liability company formed in the State of Florida. In this policy, "GwoVi," "we," and "us" mean GwoVi LLC. "You" means anyone who uses the GwoVi app.
This policy covers the GwoVi iOS app and the servers that support it. It does not cover anything else you might link to or use alongside GwoVi.
GwoVi is a multi-camera live streaming app. Several people can join the same session from different locations and see every participant's live camera feed at the same time. Any participant can record their own feed, and recordings are saved to cloud storage where everyone in that session can view them until they are deleted.
Understanding that shape matters for privacy: GwoVi is a shared, live experience by design. What your camera sees is sent to other people the moment you go live.
You choose a name when you first open the app. It is stored on your device and shown to other participants next to your live feed. It also appears in the filenames of recordings you make. We do not verify it, and it does not have to be your real name.
The first time you open GwoVi, the app generates a random identifier for that installation. We use it to make safety features work — so that blocking someone actually hides them, and so a banned device can be kept out even though there are no accounts.
This identifier is not your Apple ID, your phone number, or any advertising identifier. We do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers. It is tied to the installation, not to you personally.
Be aware of a real limitation: because it is tied to the installation, deleting and reinstalling the app generates a new identifier. This raises the effort required to evade a block or ban, but it does not make evasion impossible. We would rather tell you that plainly than overstate what device-based safety can do.
Before you can use GwoVi, you enter your date of birth to confirm you are 18 or older. We use it to make that yes-or-no determination and store the result on your device. Your date of birth itself is not sent to our servers.
GwoVi needs access to your camera and microphone to work. When you are live, your video and audio are transmitted through our streaming provider to the other participants in your session in real time. We do not record your live feed unless you or the session host starts a recording.
When a recording or snapshot is made, the resulting file is uploaded to our cloud storage. Each file carries the session name, the display name of the person recorded, a timestamp, and the device identifiers of the recorder and the session host. Everyone in that session can view these files in the in-app gallery until they are deleted.
If you report a participant or a recording, we record the reason you selected, any comment you write, the session it happened in, and the device identifiers of both you and the person you reported. If a recording is involved, we also save a copy of it as evidence.
Our servers process the ordinary technical information required to deliver a live stream — connection and session data, IP address, and basic error logs. We use it to run the service, diagnose problems, and enforce session limits.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles or to train advertising models.
When you join a session and publish your camera, every other participant in that session can see and hear you live. Any of them may record their own feed, and recordings are visible to the whole session in the gallery.
We cannot control what other participants do with what they see — including recording their screen with tools outside our app. Treat a GwoVi session the way you would treat being on camera in front of everyone in the room.
Session media is automatically deleted from our cloud storage roughly 24 hours after it is created. This is enforced by an automatic deletion rule on the storage itself, not by anyone remembering to press a button. Deletion runs as a background process, so a file may persist slightly past the 24-hour mark before it is removed.
The session host can also delete session media at any time before then. Deletion by the host is permanent and affects everyone in the session.
There is one deliberate exception. When a recording is reported, we copy it into a separate area of our storage that the 24-hour deletion rule does not cover. Without this, a recording reported near the end of its life would be destroyed before anyone could look at it.
We keep preserved evidence and the associated report for as long as we reasonably need it to review the report, act on it, and handle any dispute or legal obligation that follows.
Your display name, device identifier, and age confirmation live on your device and are removed when you delete the app. Ban records are kept for as long as the ban is in effect. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for operations and security.
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that make GwoVi work, and only so they can perform their function:
We may also disclose information if we are required to by law, if we receive a valid legal request, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm or to protect our legal rights.
If GwoVi is ever acquired or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction. We would notify you here before your information became subject to a different privacy policy.
GwoVi gives you two separate tools:
If we find that a device has violated our rules, we may ban it from joining any session. Bans are applied by us after review, not by users directly.
You can see everyone you have blocked, and unblock any of them, from the blocked users screen in the app.
GwoVi is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it. The app asks for your date of birth on first launch and will not let you continue if you are under 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 is using GwoVi, contact us at the address below and we will investigate and remove the account access and any associated content.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have specific rights under those laws.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.

GwoVi is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored on servers in the United States. If you use GwoVi from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Session access is controlled by short-lived credentials issued per session. Recordings are served through temporary links rather than permanently public URLs. Administrative tools that access reports and evidence are protected by a secret token and refuse to operate if that token is not configured.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy as GwoVi changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will provide more prominent notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use GwoVi after a change means you accept the updated policy.
